Still trying to get used to this new coloring method I've been trying out. I usually just paint straight, but I've been trying do values first then colors.
Overall pretty happy with this but I know there's a lot more settling left before this design is final (I'd love to get him modeled so I can rig him in Maya)
I think I may have made his armor a bit too Second Age.
One of the trickiest but also most enjoyable parts about drawing First Age characters is designing for specific cultures and time periods. You have to think about the evolution of armor between the time the Noldor left Valinor and the end of the Third Age, but you also have to think about how different all the Elves end up being from each other. In Glorfindel's case, at the Fall of Gondolin, that city has been isolated and their armor would be closer to the beginning of the First Age, but also more decorative since they do not fear an attack (though Glorfindel's house was warned by Tuor).
I have so many thoughts about this subject that, if I do not stop now, will never be able to stop.

Trigon: Did Arella told you what happen to your father?
Raven: She told me enough. She told me you kill him.
Trigon: No, I am your father.
Raven: NO!!!
And the colouring looks great
